Projects
PL/0 Mini Computer · Personal Project

Built a complete PL/0 compilation pipeline from scratch — lexer, recursive-descent parser, symbol table with scope tracking, P-code generator, and a stack-machine virtual machine that executes the generated bytecode end-to-end.

  • Recursive-descent parser supporting procedures, nested scopes, IF/THEN, and WHILE/DO.
  • Code generator emitting P-code targeting a custom virtual machine with activation record stack.
  • VM interpreter managing instruction pointer, base register, and dynamic/static link discipline.
  • Symbol table enforcing visibility rules, catching undeclared identifiers and duplicate declarations at compile time.
  • Tested with recursive algorithms; verified output against expected P-code traces.
Built with: C · Compiler design · Stack-machine architecture · Recursive-descent parsing
